Fitness Australia saw an opportunity to provide definitive guidance in its sector so we crafted a peer-reviewed journal and earned a nearly perfect satisfaction score.
Fitness Australia's 30,000 members
For exercise professionals – personal and group trainers, to you or I – confusion reigns. Who to trust? Which is why, as the country’s peak fitness body, Fitness Australia knew there was an industry-wide need for information backed by solid evidence.
Increase knowledge of members by providing definitive, researched-based content and position Fitness Australia as the thought leader of the sector.
In early 2014, we launched Powered, the quarterly journal, online. Powered is a technical, evidence-based, peer-reviewed journal that provides definitive guidance for its members on the key topics of the day. Since its launch the members of Fitness Australia have lapped it up.
Need to know how you should train someone who’s been diagnosed with breast cancer? Or even if you should? We’ll help you. Want to find out if high intensity interval training is the latest must-avoid fad or the saviour for busy fitness bods?
As well as the journal, we also provide content every week for Fitness Australia’s website and enewsletter, ensuring that members can cut through the noise and get trusted guidance wherever they are and whenever they need it.
A recent reader survey revealed 95% of members rate Powered as a valuable and relevant benefit of membership, and 81% find the content so valuable that they read the title from cover to cover, often revisiting it over several sessions.
