Engineers Australia’s ambitious new content strategy

We’re working with Australia’s biggest engineering association, Engineers Australia, to build the world’s largest engineering-focused content marketing program.

With an audience of more than 100,000 engineers, Engineers Australia has appointed our team to develop an integrated content strategy that includes the re-launch of its monthly member magazine and significant investment in new digital channels and content.

Engineers Australia CEO, Stephen Durkin, said: “At a time of ever-increasing challenge for all professional associations to demonstrate their continuing relevance to members, we have adopted a new set of strategic priorities and a fresh vision for our professional association, and with Mahlab Media as our new content partner we are confident of achieving that vision”.

The contract comes after a competitive pitch process, including a full review of Engineers Australia’s current structure to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.

Our founder and managing director, Bobbi Mahlab, said: “Our ambition for Engineers Australia is to produce outstanding content that delivers on Engineers Australia’s strategic objectives and helps them grow.”

Mahlab’s research partner, Ben Grill, explains why it is so important for associations to be asking questions of their members right now — and the best questions to ask.
Gen Z is the first generation considered to be true digital natives. So when it comes to engaging them, associations need an open mind and a willingness to do things differently.
Mahlab is honoured to have our work recognised at CMI, the largest and most prestigious international content marketing awards, and being nominated for Global Agency of the Year is the cherry-on-top.
