Earlier this year, Engineers Australia chose to partner with Mahlab to launch the world’s largest content marketing project – and the stunning first issue of its new member magazine is about to hit desks.
create is a magazine crafted to get worldwide recognition, an aspirational title designed to better connect with members and entice prospects. As well as driving people to other areas of the Engineers Australia business, it replaces EA magazine, which had been an engineering staple for four decades.
Among the stories in the debut edition is an interview with with roboticist Rodney Brooks, MIT Professor Emeritus and co-founder of iRobot, the company behind the Roomba vacuums; a study on the STEM crisis facing Australia; augmented reality hard hats; the new stadium soon to grace Perth; and a load more.

The magazine, published in print and online, is just one component of a new strategy which includes daily online content as well as monthly enewsletters.
create editor, Kevin Gomez, says: “Engineers build the world around us and this new magazine showcases the challenging and immensely interesting work they do in an engaging and readily consumable format.”
Stephen Durkin, CEO, Engineers Australia, says: “Our new format magazine will help grow our community profile and build a reputation that recognises the huge contribution that engineers and engineering make to the community.”
